His Imperial and Royal Higness Prince Gharios of Ghassan, Al'Numan VIII (in Arabic Emir Al-Numan Gharios Al-Ghassani) was born Ahnume Guerios (Al'Numan Gharios) in exile in Curitiba, Brazil in Saint Michael Archangel's Day (September 29th). Descending from saints, emperors, kings, nobles and heroes.
H.I.R.H. is the legitimate descendant of the Yemenite Kings of Shebah/Saba (850 BC to 37AD), the 31 Ghassanid Kings, the Roman Emperor Ceasar Phillip The Arab (204-249 A.D.), The Byzantine Emperors of the Phocid and Macedonian Dynasties, the Kings of Khazar and the 15 Generations of the Sheikhs Chemor but also from the Noble Families from Italy and from the United Kingdom.

According with the reputed to be the Major Arab Historian of XVII Century, The Patriarch Estephan Boutros El Douaihy (also Etienne Douaihi, Stefano Douayhy, Istifan Ad Duwayhy, Stephane Al Doueihi) The Sheikhs Chemor (which are immediate ascendants of the Gharios family), were related with the Hashemite Family (Hashim), by this fact, H.I.R.H. is related to His Majesty King Abddulah II of Jordan and His Royal Highness Prince Ra'ad bin Zeid of Iraq.

From His mother's side, comes from the normand-english noble family of Walwyn (Pembroke, Wales, UK). This prestigious family is very traditional having an ancestral as standart-barrior for the King Henry V in the famous battle of Angicourt. His Highness descends, according with many scholars and books (like the eminent British Genealogist John Burke, and the historians William of Malmesbury, Robert of Gloucester, Camdem among others), from the legendary King Arthur (although the reference is legendary and cannot be proven, it's known that he came from a real historic figure).

John Burke's book " A genealogical and heraldic history of the commoners of Great Britain", Volume 3, page 678:

"WALWYN, OF LONGWORTH - Lineage

The Welsh genealogists, according to their custom, have carried the antiquity of the Walwyn family, very high, deriving the decent of Sir Philip ap David, Lord of Walwayne's Castle, in Pembrokeshire, to Gualgnain [Gawain] sister's son to King Arthur, the British hero and therein they have been followed by [historians] William of Malmesburry, Robert of Gloucester, Camden, and several others."

As state in several academic works the Walwyn Family descends directly from King Arthur's nephew Gawain (also Gwalchmei). Gawain, is the son of King Lot of Orkney and King Arthur's sister Morgawse, is one of the most pervasive figures of the Arthurian tradition. He appears in nearly all of the major Arthurian stories, medieval and modern, and plays a central role in many. There are, in fact, more medieval romances devoted to Gawain's exploits than to those of any other of Arthur's knights, including Lancelot, Tristan, and Galahad. Even in romances not specifically devoted to his adventures, Gawain often plays a strong supporting role.

His prestigious lineage in public
ruling until the 18th Century in the Middle East as heirs of the Royal Ghassanids. The Gharios family is very small and its ascendance is confirmed by eminent scholars like The Patriarch Estephan Boutros El Douaihy (also Etienne Douaihi, Stefano Douayhy, Istifan Ad Duwayhy, Stephane Al Doueihi), Father Aghnatious Khoury, Issa Iskander Maalouf, among others.

From Show Business came the need of a "stage name" and the Prince took his grandfather's, Maurice (Mauricio in Portuguese) once he supposed to be baptized as "Mauricio Mansur Guerios The Grandson", but his father rather to give him the name "AlNu'man" ("Ahnume" in Portuguese - which means "the one with Royal blood" - he's the 8th with this name among the Ghassanid Sovereigns). So, due the artistic name, he's also known as "Prince Mauricio".

His Highness wrote the treatise
"DYNASTIC AND NOBILITY LAW - THE END OF A MYTH" about the international jurisprudence on titles and honors and also about the legality of his claims for the Kingdom of Ghassan.
